2012 Haryana minister was accused of inciting Geetika Sharma to commit suicide in this suicide case. While hearing the case, Special Judge Vikas Dhul acquitted Gopal Kanda as well as Aruna Chadha. The court said during the hearing that the prosecution failed to prove the allegations leveled against Gopal Kanda and Aruna Chadha. It may be noted that charges under IPC sections 466 (abetment to suicide), (criminal intimidation), (destruction of evidence), 306 B (criminal conspiracy) and 466 (forgery) were made against other sections of IPC, which could not be proved. 466
