AIKC joint coordinator Hargobind Singh Tiwari said during a media interaction that the central government is neither cooperating with the farmers nor resolving their issues. It has been more than a year since the agitation against the anti-agriculture laws ended, but the government’s promise of ensuring MSP for farmers is yet to be fulfilled. He said that the Center should immediately issue compensation to the families of the farmers who sacrificed their lives fighting for their rights. It is unfortunate that the Center does not even have the list of farmers who lost their lives. How will they even release the compensation? He demanded that the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme be implemented soon. He said that there is still no proper law for the farmers in the country, which can directly benefit them.
