The crime of the convicts is horrific

Supreme Court has during the hearing on March, 2023 had said, ‘The crime committed by the convicts is horrific, it will not be overwhelmed by emotions.’ The Supreme Court had asked the Additional Solicitor General whether he was consulted before giving the exemption. The court had also asked whether the Gujarat government can implement this kind of immunity policy when murder convicts are languishing in jail for years. Along with this, the court had also raised several questions regarding the criminal background of the released convicts. ,
