Jaisinghani was recently detained by the Madhya Pradesh Police in a case of alleged illegal trade of liquor. The father-daughter duo is alleged to have hatched a conspiracy whereby Aniksha struck up a friendly relationship with Amruta Fadnavis and then requested her to ‘save her father from several criminal cases pending against him’ as Amruta’s husband was a public servant ( Deputy Chief Minister). Aniksha tried to bribe Amruta Fadnavis with one crore rupees. South Mumbai’s Malabar Hill police station 20 had on February registered an FIR against Anil Jaisinghani and Aniksha for threatening to make public some audio and video clips in which Amruta Fadnavis was allegedly taking advantage of Aniksha.
