Earthquake: Earthquakes around the world every year near 14 Thousands of earthquake tremors would have been recorded Is. But, it is believed that millions of earthquakes occur every year on the earth. Most of these are low intensity earthquakes which cannot be recorded. In November 6788 there were tremors of earthquake twice a week. But very few of us know when, how and why an earthquake occurs. Today we are telling you the complete information related to it…
Why do earthquakes occur every year? , To understand scientifically, we have to understand the structure of the earth. Let us tell you that the earth is made up of four layers. These four layers have inner core, outer core, mantle and crust. The crust and the upper mantle core are called the lithosphere. This 50 Kilometer thick layer is divided into many parts, which are also called tectonic plates. There are 7 plates inside the earth, which keep on rotating. When this plate moves very strongly, we feel the tremors of earthquake.
Can earthquakes be predicted? ,According to earthquake scientist Dr. Rohtash, “The Indian plate is colliding with the Eurasian plate. Because of this, the stress level is increasing. Also, after a limit, the fraction is increasing. That is why earthquakes Tremors come. Such an incident happens only because of the collision of two plates. Many people claim to predict earthquakes, but there is no scientific method behind it.”
He told that, “China once claimed that earthquakes are predicted by observing the behavior of animals. But this claim also cannot be proved correct. By the way, the prediction of earthquakes depends on three claims. It predicts when the earthquake will occur? Where the earthquake will occur? And what will be its intensity. No one has been able to claim these three predictions, so till date no research has been successful in predicting earthquakes.”
How is intensity measured? , Earthquakes are measured on the Richter scale. The Richter scale is a mathematical scale for measuring the intensity of earthquake waves, it is called the Richter Magnitude Test Scale. On the Richter scale, earthquakes are measured on the basis of 1 to 9 from its center i.e. Epicenter. This scale measures the intensity based on the energy released from inside the earth during an earthquake.
How many types of earthquakes are there There are two types of earthquakes: tectonic and volcanic earthquakes. Tectonic earthquakes are generated by sudden movements along faults and plate boundaries. Earthquakes induced by rising lava or magma beneath active volcanoes are called volcanic earthquakes.
