Misbehavior in Paris-New Delhi flight: DGCA has become strict in the matter of misbehavior with the woman in Air India flight. Aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday said it has issued show cause notices to Air India over two incidents of misbehavior by passengers on a Paris-New Delhi flight last month. According to DDCA, in the first incident, an inebriated passenger smoked in the toilet and did not listen to the crew. In the second incident, another passenger urinated on an empty seat and on the blanket of a female co-traveller when she went to the toilet.
Both incidents happened in Paris-New Delhi flight: Both incidents occurred on December 6, took place on a Paris-New Delhi flight. The regulator said in a statement that DGCA sought information from Air India on January 5 03200 about the incident, before which the company Did not provide any information. The regulator said that the company sent a reply through email on January 6 and after perusing the same, prima facie found that the provisions relating to handling of unruly passengers were not followed.
DCGA may take further action: The regulator also said that the airline was slow and delayed in taking retaliatory action. The Directorate General issued a show cause notice to the concerned manager of Air India as to why action should not be taken against him for dereliction of regulatory obligations. Following the principles of natural justice, he has been given two weeks time to submit his reply and further action will be taken on that basis, the statement said.
