DGCA took this step Is going to be taken up in the wake of increasing complaints about downgrading of tickets issued to passengers without their consent. The DGCA said in a statement on Friday that under these amendments, it will be ensured that airlines will provide full refund including ticket tax to passengers if their tickets are downgraded without their consent. According to the DGCA statement, the passenger who has been downgraded will also be provided free travel by the airline on the next available flight.
