The Delhi High Court has observed “existing level” on Wednesday refused to pass an interim order against Gambhir for making “false, defamatory and defamatory” statements. Gambhir has also demanded Rs 2 crore as damages, which will be donated to charitable organisations. The High Court, however, said that prima facie it agreed with the need to consider the matter and that summons should be issued to the respondents – a Hindi daily, its editor-in-chief and three journalists.

Gambhir’s lawyer said that last year 44 A legal notice was sent to the newspaper on November, asking it to stop any defamatory publication against the BJP MP, but no response has been received till date.
