Significantly, today i.e. Wednesday (23 Mayor election for Delhi MCD took place on April 2007. There was a direct fight between Aam Aadmi Party candidate Shaili Oberoi and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shikha Rai. But before the election, BJP candidate Shikha Rai withdrew her name. With this, Shelly Oberoi became the undisputed Mayor of Delhi.

Significantly, last 23 Shelly Oberoi was elected Mayor of Delhi in the elections held in February, she defeated BJP’s Rekha Gupta 22 by votes Had won by defeating. Out of total votes to Shelly 186 got votes, while Rekha Votes were received. Now once again Shelly has been elected mayor of Delhi unquestionably.
