Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has been convicted by the court in the Excise Policy case 13 Sent to judicial custody till March. Sisodia will be kept in Central Jail No-1 of Tihar.

Sisodia had sought permission to take a pair of spectacles, a pen and a diary with him inside the jail. The court allowed Sisodia to take Bhagavad Gita, spectacles, medicine etc. to the jail and directed the Tihar Jail Superintendent to consider his request to allow Vipassana (meditation).
AAP attacks BJP There was no need for his CBI custody to be sought for questioning. AAP’s national spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that there was no hearing on his bail application. The court had to consider two options, either to send him to judicial custody, or to extend his police custody. The CBI had no questions, no basis to seek his custody for questioning him. The CBI did not have any documentary evidence. Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he said that its spokespersons are alleging in television discussions that the Excise Policy case is a case with clear evidence and showing fake documents to claim that there is a scam. If they have evidence then why don’t they hand it over to the CBI, the AAP leader said.
