Delhi rains break record of the year1982 According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), in Delhi on Sunday morning ending at 8:30 41 over a period of hours mm of rain was recorded, which is the highest rainfall in a day in July since 1982. Record in Chandigarh and Ambala respectively 1982.2 mm and .1 mm of rain was recorded. It has been raining continuously in North-West India for the last two days. ‘Heavy to very heavy’ rainfall has been recorded at many places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
