Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has got relief from questioning in Excise Policy matter. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had called him for questioning today, but Manish Sisodia had asked the CBI to postpone the questioning till the last week of February. Because he is busy finalizing Delhi’s budget.

CBI will issue new date soon

Manish Sisodia said – he could have been arrested

Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia said, I have always cooperated with CBI, but this is an important time for Delhi as we have to prepare the budget and send it to the central government by the end of February. I knew they would arrest me so I asked CBI for time to finalize the budget. Sisodia said, I have written a letter to the CBI and sought time till the last week of February as I am finalizing Delhi’s budget and this is an important time. I have told them that I will come after the last week of February.

Manish Sisodia can be called for questioning after February

Sisodia said, as Finance Minister It is my duty to present the budget on time and I am working day and night for that. I have requested CBI to allow me to answer the questions after the last week of February.

Last year 11 Sisodia was questioned on October Excise Before last year 2023 from the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party government, Sisodia, who is also looking after the work of the department. On October also, inquiries were made in this matter and his house and bank locker were searched. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sisodia has been named as an accused in the charge sheet and the investigation against him and other suspects is still ongoing.
