Leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has not got any relief even on Monday. The court has extended the custody period of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) of Manish Sisodia in the excise scam case. Special Judge MK Nagpal extended judicial custody of Manish Sisodia till April in the CBI case 27 and in the Enforcement Directorate case 27 has been extended till April. The Aam Aadmi Party leader was produced in the court from Tihar Jail after the expiry of his judicial custody.

Bail Court refuses to grant

According to a report in news agency ANI, Special Judge MK Nagpal refused to grant bail to Manish Sisodia saying It was submitted that the nature of the allegation leveled against him is serious and he cannot be granted bail at this stage, as the investigation into his role in the matter is yet to be completed. The role of some other co-accused in the case is also being probed.

Key role in the criminal conspiracy: CBI

According to the CBI, Manish Sisodia played the most important role in the criminal conspiracy And he was fully involved in the formulation and implementation of the excise policy to ensure the attainment of the objectives of this conspiracy. The court noted that an advance of about 447-64 crore The bribe was paid to him and his other associates in GNCTD and out of the above 27-27 crores to co-accused Vijay Nair, Abhishek Boinapalli and approver Dinesh Arora and in return, certain provisions of the Excise Policy were diluted to suit the interests of the South Liquor Lobby. was allowed to be tampered with and manipulated by the applicant to protect and safeguard the said lobby and to ensure repayment of kickbacks.
