Delhi NH-42 Closed: One way closure by the authorities due to the construction of Dwarka Expressway And due to changing the route of traffic, heavy traffic jam was witnessed on Delhi-Gurugram road even today. Delhi Police said that its helpline has received several calls regarding heavy traffic jam in the area. Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory yesterday on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway (NH-92 ) between Rangpuri-Rajokri to the next was informed about closure for days.
Construction of two underpasses and one overpass road As per consultation, National Highways (NH) under Bharat Mala Project, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)-23 is constructing Dwarka Link Road near Shivmurti. NH under project as per consultation-38 two underpasses and one overpass road will be constructed. For this work, both the roads between Rangpuri-Rajokri have been closed. Many commuters shared the traffic situation through Twitter.
Traffic stopped since one and a half hours A user tweeted – I am stuck between Mahipalpur and Dhaula Kuan where traffic has almost come to a standstill for the last one and a half hours. Another social media user tweeted that it is now taking three hours to travel half an hour to Gurugram. Another passenger tweeted on the way starting from Dhaula Kuan to Gurugram There is jam from minute.
Mehrauli-Gurugram route can be used As per police advisory, traffic near Shivmurti is being diverted on newly constructed slip road. People going to Gurugram or Jaipur or coming to Delhi from there can use the Mehrauli-Gurugram route. According to the advisory, commuters going to Dwarka, Kapashera and Najafgarh can take the Gurugram flyover via Palam Road. Similarly, passengers going to Dhaula Kuan or Vasant Vihar from Gurugram, Kapashera and Dwarka will have to flyover road number to complete your journey.
