On Thursday, the second day of Dhulendi, police personnel played Holi, the time of which was fixed till 2 pm. SP Rakesh Kumar Singh played Holi with police officers at the district headquarters. In the same sequence, the police personnel posted at Kumhari police station also played Holi fiercely and applied color to each other and danced to the tune of DJ. Constable Narendra and constable Jalesh were dancing under the influence of alcohol even after 5 pm. Then the electricity failed. After this, both these constables reached Ajay Vishwakarma, who runs a welding shop in front of the police station, started abusing him and took him to the police station. Meanwhile, a person standing there made a video of the fight. After watching the video, the SP asked Kumhari police station in-charge Vandana Gaur to get both the constables medical. As soon as the instructions were received, the station in-charge called both the constables, but they fled. He informed this to the SP and after that the SP suspended both the constables. The shop operator gave an application to the station in-charge and demanded action against both the constables. SP Rakesh Kumar Singh told that both the constables were fighting with a person in front of Kumhari police station under the influence of alcohol, whose video was made by a youth standing there and he was also informed about this incident on the phone. These two constables were harassing people while playing Holi after 5 pm, while the time to play Holi is 2 pm: 10 was scheduled by o’clock. That’s why both these constables have been suspended.
