Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, I appreciate Karnataka BJP for making some historic announcement in the manifesto. A declaration or commitment to implement Uniform Civil Code in this country will go a long way in ensuring gender justice and equal rights for Muslim women. He said, Karnataka BJP has made a very bold commitment and I am sure this manifesto or commitment of BJP Karnataka will initiate a nationwide demand for implementation of UCC across the country. Nationwide NRC is the need of the hour.

Congress promises to provide free electricity to the people of Karnataka
