Expansion Child Rights and You (CRY), an organization working for the rights of children, observed Child Labor Abolition Day conducted a rapid assessment survey. It was found that 39 percent people have no objection to the fact that if the children go to school, they should cooperate in the responsibilities of the family. 28 Percentage does not know that working children can get serious diseases. On the other hand, 39 percent are not even aware of the law to stop child labour.

All over the world 28 June is observed as the Day against Child Labour. is celebrated. CRY volunteers found in the survey that people are not aware about child labour. They don’t even know the laws and rules needed to solve this problem. CRY has launched a national campaign with the theme – Don’t help children by employing them. In this month-long campaign, efforts will be made to create awareness about child labour. Soha Moitra, Regional Director, Cry-North, said that involving children in any commercial activity is like taking away their childhood. People feel that by giving work to poor children, they are doing a favor or doing good for them. Saving them from hunger and poverty. This mindset has to be changed. Because of this, Cry has started this campaign.

Lack of awareness in Madhya Pradesh also

This survey on child labor was also done in Madhya Pradesh. This survey says that percent people feel that even school going children should not be allowed to work. However, 39 percent of people do not think so. Similarly 39 percent people feel that children should not participate in their family business. Whereas, 39 percent think they can do it.

Disagreement to participate in entertainment

Child labor is a big issue Connected to the entertainment industry. Should children be allowed to act in reality shows and TV shows or films? No single opinion emerged in the survey on this. 39 percent feel that children working in the entertainment industry should also be considered child labor.
