Baghel said that Chhattisgarh is the land of Mata Kaushalya That’s why every year Kaushalya Mahotsav will be organized in Chandkhuri. According to researchers, Chandkhuri located in Raipur district is the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya and it is the only temple in the world dedicated to her. The temple was renovated and beautified by the Congress government under its ambitious ‘Ram Van Gaman’ tourism circuit project. Under this scheme, all those important places of the state are being developed as tourist places, where Lord Ram had traveled during his exile.
