Chhath Puja 2022: With offering Arghya to the rising sun, the festival of Chhath Puja is a great festival of folk faith. Today is over. The shade of Chhath, the popular festival of Bihar, Jharkhand, is now being seen in other states like UP and Delhi as well as abroad.
This festival of Suryopasana is celebrated from Chaturthi to Saptami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. This year Chhath festival started with bathing i.e. bathing on Friday. After this, on Saturday, the devotees took the prasad of ‘Kharna’. After fasting on the day of ‘Kharna’, after taking bath in the evening, according to the rituals, the prasad of bread and kheer made of jaggery is taken. With this, two-day fasting of fasting women started.
Learn the importance of offering Arghya to the rising sun
Usha Arghya is the last and last day of Chhath Puja. Arghya is offered to the rising sun on this day. After which the fast of Chhath is broken. On this day, fasting women reach the river Ghat before sunrise and offer Arghya to Udit Narayan Surya and pray for the protection of children and family happiness and peace from the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya. After this worship, the fast is broken with raw milk, water and prasad.

Keep these things in mind on the day of Usha Arghya
1. While offering Arghya to Sun God, keep your face towards the east direction
2. Always use a copper vessel to offer Arghya to Sun God.
3. While offering Arghya to Sun God, always hold the vessel of water with both hands.
4. While offering Arghya to the Sun, it is considered auspicious to see the rays falling on the water’s edge.
5. While offering Arghya, put intact and red flowers in the pot.
