Let us tell that every year on 15 January, Army Day is celebrated in the honor of Field Marshal Kodandera Madappa Cariappa, the first army chief of India. This is happening for the first time in history that the Indian Army Day parade is being organized outside the national capital in Bengaluru. The parade marks the formal takeover of the Indian Army by its first Indian Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal KM Cariappa on 15 January, 1949 replacing its British predecessor. Army Day means the day to salute the bravery, valor and martyrdom of the army.
