Iran’s Ambassador to India Iraj Elahi said that India is not Taiwan and South Korea. India is a rising power and has a powerful economy. Therefore, India could easily resist the pressure of the West. He said, as India resists pressure to buy oil from Russia, we believe that India can and we hope that the Indian government will start importing oil for the benefit of the Indian economy and people.
