According to the trends received in the by-election for Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Sushil Rinku is leading. Counting of votes is going on for the by-election held on this seat. As per the latest trends available on the website of the Election Commission, Rinku is leading by 4,503 votes over his nearest rival and INC candidate Karamjit Kaur Choudhary. The seat fell vacant due to the death of Congress MP Santokh Singh Chowdhary in January. Karamjit Kaur is the wife of late Congress leader.
