A local court on Tuesday convicted YSR Telangana Party President Y.S. Sharmila was given bail. The police arrested him a day earlier for allegedly assaulting policemen outside his residence in the city. Sharmila is the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Sharmila was produced before a court after her arrest on Monday, which sent her to judicial custody till May 8 and kept her in jail here. Sharmila had also moved a bail application, which the court listed for hearing on Tuesday after issuing notice to the police.
