Yellow alert has been issued in many districts of Kerala. People of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Kozhikode and Kannur have been appealed to be vigilant. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the cyclone, very high waves can rise in the sea in the coastal areas of Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa by 10 June.
