US has secretly implemented the recommendations of the President’s Commission on Visas in India to reduce the number of pending visa applications in India. Steps like opening of American diplomatic missions for interviews have been suggested. These are aimed at reducing the number of visa applications pending in India.

Digital interview will be allowed The commission recommended that the State Department allow digital interviews where possible and assist embassy staff around the world and US consular staff to conduct digital interviews in embassies where More number of applications are pending.

Additional resources will be used for VISA Recommendations include opening US diplomatic missions outside India for visa interviews, providing more counters, and devoting additional resources to process visa applications.
