Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang made this announcement during Vikas Yatra on Thursday. The minister said that an all-facilitated convention center would be constructed in Karond area at a cost of crores. Along with this, a grand sports complex will also be constructed for the youth of the area. He said that this would prove to be a big step in the direction of making Karond area a suburb. The minister said in the program organized at Karond Square in Ward 233 that Karond area on the lines of Ravindra Bhavan The convention center will be constructed at a cost of crores. The convention center will be multipurpose, where big cultural and religious functions can be held with full grandeur. The minister also announced the construction of a sports complex at the identified location in Karond. He informed that a swimming pool will also be built in this sports complex. He said that due to encroachment on the underpass, the residents have to face difficulties in commuting. The concerned authorities have been directed to remove the encroachment at the earliest.
