Large consignment of illicit liquor has been caught. Mehgaon Police has arrested an accused by confiscating goods worth about one crore rupees. According to the information, on the instructions of CM Shivraj, continuous action is going on against drugs across the state. The Gormi police of Bhind district had received information from the informer on Friday night that illegal liquor was being carried in the truck. Gormi Police and Mehgaon Police laid siege. While investigating on Gormi Road, the police saw the truck going near the canary culvert. On stopping the search, it was found to be full of alcohol. The driver could not give any satisfactory answer during the inquiry. The police took the truck and the driver into custody and brought them to the police station. Police said that the truck was near box (approximately 13500 liters) of illicit liquor was found. The truck driver Raj Sharma alias Rishi resident of Goremi has been arrested. The police have given the estimated value of the liquor and the seized truck as one crore. Police station in-charge Harjendra Singh told that the price of a quarter of illegal liquor is around 233 according to this 75 Lakhs of Liquor and Trucks worth Rs. Lakhs total Mashruka worth Rs. One Crore have been recovered. ,
