Indore – Photo: Amar Ujala, Indore Expansion The then Superintendent of Police BS Tongar has been convicted by a special court of Indore in the EOW case and sentenced to four years imprisonment. A fine of eight thousand rupees has also been imposed on him. He had also obtained the post of Fire Brigade SP by applying a fake degree. In this case, his junior had complained about him. BS Tonger has been sentenced to 4 years in a case. Along with this, he has been sentenced to three years in other cases. It was Tongar’s Junior Inspector Ram Singh Nigwal who had complained in this matter. After his complaint, the EOW had registered a case in this matter in the year 2013. After investigation of the complaint, the EOW has registered a case against Tonger under sections 420, , 750, 506, 13 as well as section of the Prevention of Corruption Act – 1D and – Case was registered under 2. 1676558889 Nigwal had told in the complaint against Tongar that Tongar had put up a fake degree of fire engineering from the college of Nagpur. After this he got the post of SP in the Fire Brigade. Nigwal said in the complaint that there should be an inquiry that his qualification is not that much to become the SP of the fire brigade. Retd of SP Challan presented after
Complaint 2003 and after 10 years Invoice presented. After collecting the evidence of the case, the EOW presented the challan of Tonger at 2013. Tongar retired within a few days of the challan being presented, but the matter continued in court.

गुरुवार को प्रथम अपर सत्र न्यायाधीश संजय कुमार गुप्ता की कोर्ट नंबर 2 से टोंगर को धारा 467 में 4 साल, जबकि अन्य धाराओं में 3-3 साल की सजा सुनाई गई है। इसके साथ ही टोंगर पर प्रति धारा 2000 रुपए के अनुसार कुल 12 हजार रुपए का जुर्माना भी लगाया। टोंगर के मामले की जांच डीएसपी राकेश बघेल ने की थी, जबकि मामले का कोर्ट में ट्रायल एसपी धनंजय शाह के निर्देश पर ईओडब्ल्यू के मुंशी प्रदीप मिश्रा ने चलवाया था।
