State convenor of United Forum of Bank Unions Mahesh Mishra said that demands like settlement issues, five working days a week in banks, promotion and salary and pension fixation have remained unfulfilled. He said that the Joint Forum has been trying to resolve the remaining issues for the last 30 months, but the Indian Banks’ Association has not given any positive response. Mishra claimed that one million employees and officers of all the banks of the country will participate in the two-day strike on 30 and January. (with language input)
