Emergency landing of helicopter in rough ground

Udhampur based Northern Command In a statement, the ‘Army Aviation ALH Dhruv’ helicopter on an operational mission, on May 4, 2023 at about 1.15 a.m. as a precautionary landing on the banks of the Marua river in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. The said pilot informed the air traffic controller (ATC) about a technical snag and initiated a precautionary landing of the helicopter. The helicopter was forced to land in rough terrain. Immediately rescue operations were launched and army rescue teams reached the spot.
