35 Opposition parties boycotted the inauguration of the new Parliament building It may be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the new Parliament House on Sunday and about 35 opposition parties including Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party has announced a boycott of the ceremony. Opposition parties argue that the new building of Parliament should be inaugurated by President Draupadi Murmu as she is not only the head of the republic but also the head of the parliament.
