RLV was lifted off by a Chinook helicopter of Indian Air Force at 7:14 IST as an underslung load and flew to an altitude of 4.5 km Filled. Once the predetermined pillbox parameters were achieved based on the RV's mission management computer command, the RV was released in mid-air to a down range of 4.6 km. The release condition consisted of 14 parameters covering position, velocity, height and body rate etc. RLY's release was autonomous. The RLY then carried out approach and landing maneuvers using the Integrated Navigation, Guidance and Control System and completed an autonomous landing at AlK on the strip at 7: 40 AM IST. With this, ISRO successfully achieved the autonomous landing of the spacecraft. ,
