During the violent clash between the supporters of YSRCP and TDP, stone pelting, vandalism and arson were done. Supporters of both the parties set several vehicles on fire. Many people were also injured in the violent clash. Seeing the increasing ruckus, the local administration has imposed section 144. According to media reports, the police has arrested TDP leader Julakanti Brahma Reddy. Meanwhile, Palanadu Superintendent of Police Y Ravi Shankar Reddy said people with criminal antecedents participated in the protest and deliberately pelted stones.
