The temples are of Bhumij style

The temples found in the excavation of the hill are said to be of Bhumij style. The specialty of this style is visible in its spire. Like the Latin or Ekandaka shikhara, there are latanas or strips of net with chaityamukh design from top to bottom, but in the middle of it, in the four angles, from bottom to top, there are small shikharas of decreasing size respectively. Here also, chemicals like urad dal, lime, jaggery are being used to add the remains of the temple. The layer of spices is very thin. Modern machines are also being used to lift the stones.
