The search for Amritpal Singh started from March, it was a very volatile day for the investigation. To catch Amritpal Singh, the police first laid a trap outside his house. The police was waiting to raid his village. Amritpal came to know about this and started preparing to run away. Amritpal along with his convoy left the village and started running away. Three SUVs and a Mercedes car were present in that convoy. The police surrounded Amritpal Singh on the Shahkot-Malsian road near Jalandhar. Seven armed guards from the two cars running in front of Amritpal’s convoy were taken into custody by the police. But, taking advantage of the opportunity, Amritpal escaped from there.
