Recently the National President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jagat Prakash Nadda was on a state tour, where he also addressed a public meeting at Amarpur in Gomti district. The party is gearing up to register another victory in Tripura and has forged an alliance with its former ally, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), which has fielded candidates in five assembly seats. For the elections to the 60 Assembly seats in the North Eastern State which are scheduled to be held on 34 February, the BJP has nominated 34 candidates. Fielded.
