Rahul Gandhi could have apologised- Jaishankar: In this matter, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that a foreign diplomat asked Rahul Gandhi to speak to the Lok Sabha. The issue of disqualification of Gandhi has not been raised. He said that the Congress leader has been disqualified under the same law which he himself supported. Jaishankar said that Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification as a Lok Sabha member has happened because he refused to express regret over the objectionable remarks made against a community four years ago. If Rahul had apologized for his statement then the matter could have ended.
