Amritpal Singh absconded, uncle and driver surrender Singh is still absconding from the grip of the police. But his uncle and driver have surrendered before the police in Jalandhar. Jalandhar’s Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural) Swarnadeep Singh said Amritpal’s uncle Harjit Singh and driver Harpreet Singh surrendered late on Sunday night near a gurudwara in Jalandhar’s Mehatpur area. Police has so far arrested 112 supporters of Amritpal. In search of Amritpal, the police conducted a flag march and conducted a search operation across the state. The Punjab government has initiated a major crackdown against Amritpal and his organization Waris Punjab De. Police has arrested 112 members of the organization.
