Minister Meenakshi Lekhi reached Narmada Ghat. - Photo: Amar Ujala Digital Extension Madhya Pradesh The guests coming to the Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan going on in Indore are also reaching Omkareshwar, the pilgrimage city of Khandwa, to have darshan of Lord Omkareshwar-Mamleshwar. Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture Meenakshi Lekhi also reached Omkareshwar on Sunday and visited the Jyotirlinga. The Minister of State got angry after seeing the dirt and plastic on the ghats of Narmada. He immediately instructed the Nagar Panchayat CMO and Tehsildar to stop selling plastic items and both plastic items at the ghats. Use both prepared from leaves Minister of State for External Affairs Lekhi also reviewed the arrangements here. Along with this, he directed to ban the use of polythene and chemical colors for environmental protection. In fact, when the Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi was visiting the ghats, she saw that people on the ghat were offering lamps in plastic pots to Maa Narmada, as well as polythene was also lying on the ghat, seeing which she got angry. Went and immediately instructed the Nagar Panchayat CMO and Tehsildar to ban plastic. He said that in place of plastic bags prepared from leaves should be used. Union Minister Lekhi also cleaned the Ghat by herself. Union Minister of State Lekhi also did boating after darshan. According to information, NRIs are coming in different groups to Omkareshwar since Saturday. In two days, more than 243 migrants have visited. Special arrangements have been made by the administration and the temple trust for the reception and darshan of the guests. The migrant guests are being welcomed by presenting a scarf with a picture of Lord Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga as a memorial. A large number of guests including Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi arrived on Sunday. He was also made to take a boat ride in Narmada ji. He praised the darshan system and the natural beauty of the place. ,
