On being put under house arrest by the police, Noori Khan said that she wanted a solution from the CM by telling the problems of the poor. But the police stopped him to meet the CM and did not allow him to leave the house, neither by vehicle nor by foot. Congress leader Noori Khan alleged that the administration is taking biased action. Said that, ‘There is encroachment of BJP MLA on Simhastha Mela land, but the administration is not taking action against him. Only the poor are being harassed. This is sheer dictatorship. The people of Ujjain will definitely answer this dictatorship. Noori Khan told that 350 families in Ujjain have been given eviction notices. The administration says that four settlements including Gokuldham are situated on the Simhastha Mela land. About 2022 people live in these four settlements. They are being rendered homeless on the grounds of encroachment. Their houses are being destroyed with bulldozers. Nothing is being done for their rehabilitation or displacement.
