2. Jharkhand government implemented solar energy policy The Jharkhand government implemented the Solar Energy Policy on 5th July. Although solar energy policy was implemented in Jharkhand even before this, but it could not be successful. Hemant Soren’s government again implemented the solar energy policy and has set a target of producing MW power. Along with this, there has been talk of making 100 solar villages. However, not much work seems to be happening on this policy. But it is to be expected that Government will take concrete steps on this.
3. Coal Mines Threat to Environment In the pre-budget meeting, Jharkhand’s Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon told the central government that coal mining is a threat to the environment. He also informed the central government about the health problems occurring in the mining areas. 4. Jharkhand government launched e-vehicle policy The smoke coming out of motor vehicles is also very dangerous for the environment and people affected by it have many health problems. To get rid of this and to promote clean energy, the government has come up with an e-vehicle policy. In this, there are many types of subsidies on the purchase of e-vehicles and rebate schemes for setting up e-vehicle plants.
5. COP12 Tough decisions taken To save the world from climate change and rein on the people responsible for it, this time the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP Held in Egypt. In this conference, it was emphasized that the companies which are responsible for climate change should pay the fine. It was strongly raised in the conference that those countries which are economically weak are not able to deal with the threat of climate change. In this case, the fines that the companies will pay will help these countries.
6. Dangerous level up to 2030 Green house gas emissions will reach It has been revealed in the IEA report that Green house gas emissions in the world will reach dangerous levels. However, it has also come to the fore that will register a decline in it. In such a situation, it will be a big challenge in front of us next year to reduce the emission of green house gas.
