At the same time, an important organizational meeting of the BJP is likely to be held in the national capital next month, in which the extension of the term of the party's national president JP Nadda is expected to be approved. Party sources said that BJP's national executive will also consider the strategy for the upcoming state assembly elections and review the current organizational activities. However, the main attraction of the meeting will be the postponement of organizational elections in view of several state elections and 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This will lead to an automatic extension of Nadda's term, whose three-year term ends next month, as internal elections in at least half of the party's state units are mandatory before the process of electing the next national president begins.
