Air Ticket: Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said in the Rajya Sabha on Monday that the prices of air tickets depend on the season and passengers can book at a lower price by booking in advance. He said that the festival season starts in October and the demand level in the civil aviation sector is high till February and then there is a slight decrease. He said that there is a reduction in demand during monsoon. 'The sector went through the worst phase for any industry in the world during Covid' The minister said that it has to be understood that during the Kovid epidemic, this sector went through possibly the worst phase for any industry in the world. He said that Air Turbine Fuel (Aerial Fuel) is a very important component in ticket pricing and the expenditure on it is around is the percentage. He said that before Kovid its price ,09 From Rs. 99308 , was Rs per kiloliter which is now Rs 1,, has gone up to Rs. per kiloliter. Amritsar and Chandigarh have international connectivity to about seven countries He said that there is international 'connectivity' from Amritsar and Chandigarh to around seven countries UK, Qatar, Dubai, Malaysia, Sharjah, Singapore and Italy. Scindia said that in air service traffic agreements, we give connectivity to only six metros in India. He said, 'We cannot open our country for them. We should also strengthen Indian airlines. I am happy to inform that now Indian airlines are getting bigger aircraft. We are going to hoist our Indian flag across the world in terms of direct connectivity.'
