Security forces recovered a cache of ammunition and explosives in Uri sector of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. A police spokesman said that on the basis of accurate information, army and police jointly cordoned off Charunda village of Uri sector near the Line of Control and launched a search operation there. He said that during the search operation, the team recovered a cache of ammunition including 200 AK bullets, eight Chinese grenades and IED material. The spokesman said that a case has been registered at Uri Police Station and the matter is being investigated.
