Here, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi VK Saxena said on Tuesday that the population of the city has increased to 2014 lakhs since 2014 But accordingly the plan for sewer lines and drainage of water was not prepared. Because of this, the problem of water-logging arose in the city after the rains. Taking stock of the situation of rising water level in the Yamuna river in Yamuna Bazar area, Saxena said that there was a need to prepare well in advance to deal with the unexpected rains. The Lieutenant Governor also inspected the Pragati Maidan Tunnel, Minto Bridge and Zakhira Underpass.
