8 seats in Gujarat occupied by BJP

At the end of last year in Gujarat The BJP had won a record 156 seat in the assembly elections. Out of the Rajya Sabha seats from Gujarat, at present eight are occupied by the BJP and the rest by the Congress. Of the eight seats held by the BJP, the term of S Jaishankar, Jugalji Thakor and Dinesh Anavadiya 35 will end on August. Elections are to be held for these three seats only. The last date for filing nominations is 17 July and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is July. If necessary, voting will be held on July.
