After which Mohini Kahar, the mother of the accused reached the spot and opposed the arrest of her son. As the officers tried to leave the scene, the woman placed herself on the bonnet of the car and insisted on leaving her son behind. When the officers failed to convince the woman, they hung her on the bonnet of the car and walked for a few meters to the police station.
