Uniform Civil Code: Justice Rituraj Awasthi, Chairman of the Law Commission on Uniform Civil Code, said on Wednesday that we have received a huge response on the Uniform Civil Code. Till yesterday we have received 8.5 lakh responses. He said that UCC is not a new thing. This issue has come up earlier also. We are trying to hold wide consultations with all the stakeholders and organizations.

Law Commission has again sought opinion for Uniform Civil Code

Actually, the Law Commission headed by former Karnataka High Court Chief Justice Ritu Rai Awasthi has once again sought opinion for the Uniform Civil Code. Law Commission has issued public notice on Jun. before this, Th Law Commission to the people and stakeholders on Uniform Civil Code 7th October Opinion was sought on . March and 27 march 2016 It was repeated again. anymore 31 Law Commission on August was recommended. Since, more than three years have passed since the last opinion. In view of the seriousness of the matter and the orders of the Court 21th Law Commission decided to take opinion again on this subject.
