Gita Press Vivad: BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said on Tuesday that Muslim League is absolutely secular and RSS is not communal today’s agenda. This is an agenda which belongs to the era of Nehru ji. Sudhanshu Trivedi said that this thought is family and this thought is spiritual. Therefore, I want to say once again that the character shown by the Congress on the issue of Geeta Press, Gorakhpur, is a clear proof of their contempt for India, Indian culture, Hindutva and the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.
BJP’s target on Congress’s stand on Geeta Press
It should be mentioned that Gita Press of Gorakhpur is being honored with Gandhi Peace Prize. However, politics regarding this is also going on in a tremendous way. Congress is opposing it. Whereas, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has clearly said that the Congress hates Sanatan, so it is opposing it. In this episode, the BJP has once again made a strong attack on the Congress. BJP has clearly said that the attitude of Congress towards Gita Press shows disrespect towards India, Indian culture and Hindutva.
Know what the Congress had said…
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had said on Twitter that Gandhi Peace Prize to Gita Press 2023 Giving would be like rewarding Savarkar and Godse. He argued that Akshay Mukul, a writer, had written a biography titled Gita Press and the Making of Hindu India. Jairam Ramesh said the book traces Mukul’s stormy relationship with Mahatma Gandhi and his ongoing battles with him over his political, religious and social agenda. This judgment is really a travesty and is like awarding Savarkar and Godse. However, in the Congress too, opinion seems to be divided regarding this. Many Congress leaders associated with UP believe that Jairam Ramesh should have refrained from making such statements.
