Officers of the PHE department along with the employees had arrived in Ghiroli village of Panihar area of Gwalior district’s Bhitarwar SDM Ashwani Rawat on Saturday to take stock of the work going on under the Jal Nal Yojana. Meanwhile, some villagers complained against the youth of the village Naresh Yadav and his family for occupying the government handpump. From SDM. Even before this, continuous complaints of occupation of public handpumps were reaching the SDM. SDM Rawat reached the spot with PHE officials, but the two women present there created ruckus. Both the women were standing at the hand pump and not allowing any officer and employee to remove the encroachment from there. Meanwhile, Naresh Yadav also came and started arguing with the SDM. Amidst the debate, SDM Ashwani Rawat lost his temper and got angry and slapped the young man. After this the women present there also got angry. The women started throwing stones at the officers. Seeing the deteriorating situation, the SDM reached the police station with his team without removing the possession. Where PHE officials registered a case of obstructing official work. Police station Panihar has registered a case against both the women including Naresh Yadav. The women are said to be the wife and mother of accused Naresh Yadav.
